CHAMPAGNE & SPARKLING
Alma Fria Sparkling Rosé of Pinot Noir Mendocino Ridge '21
$87.00
Winemaker Notes: This vintage continues the elegant and modern approach we developed to launch this new category last vintage. It combines the traditional champagne method of producing sparkling wine with the wonderful summer pleasure of enjoying freshly pressed Vin Gris that was ripening on the vine just a short time ago. It was immediately whole cluster pressed upon arriving at the winery, settled overnight, then fermented in neutral oak to bone-dryness. The following March, it was triage bottled and fermented to 11.2% alc., then disgorged with zero dosage. The entire process has been done by hand as a true labor of love for your enjoyment!
Canard-Duchene Brut Rosé Montagne de Reims NV
$110.00
Delamotte Brut Le Mesnil-sur-Oger NV
$120.00
The NV Brut is a gorgeous, deep wine endowed with an attractive core of rich fruit. This is an especially mid-weight, expansive Champagne with commendable balance and a long, finessed finish. Smoke, minerals and earthiness add complexity on the close. Delamotte is best known as the sister estate of its famous neighbor Salon, one of the most storied names in Champagne.
Domaine Jean Vesselle "Oeil de Perdrix" Brut Bouzy NV
$140.00
95 Points Wine & Spirits: In this traditional style, Delphine Vesselle allows the ripe pinot noir grapes from her vineyards in Bouzy to bleed color from their skins and doesn't filter it out, hoping to preserve what she describes as the essence of pinot noir. Everyone on our panel was struck by this wine's beauty, as its delicate touch seemed to connect with every scent and taste receptor at once. The pink color and the range of green herbs in the scent seem to resonate through the wine, taking its radish-like tension and formal structure in an understated direction.
Drappier Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature Zero Dosage Reims NV
$135.00
Vermilion gold in colour. Nose of freshly pressed black grapes, of red, white and citrus fruits. Ample palate with flesh of vineyard peach and bouquet of aromatic herbs. Small spicy notes in the finish. A fine, tightly knit Champagne of great purity. The Drappier vineyard covers 100 hectares and constitutes the House’s essential trump card. Since 1808 our family has used its skill to select parcels of land which are particularly well exposed and extremely rich in limestone. For the most part they are located around Urville, where Pinot Noir, the predominant grape variety, finds its loveliest expression and allows the production of very elegant, aromatic wines. Château de Rougeon "Arenites" Aligoté '20
$60.00
Domaine Guy Robin Chablis Vielles Vigne '20
$82.00
Winemaker Marie-Ange Robin represents the fourth generation of vine growers in the family. It was her father Guy who, parcel by parcel, purchased Chablis vineyards in the 1950s; yet it is Marie-Ange who has brought the winery to a level of greatness for which it was always destined. There are few other Chablis estates with such a rich collection of older-vine rootstock, and as a result, few other estates that deliver Chablis wines of such character and complexity. Aromas of sauteed lemons, crushed oyster shells, lime zest, grass. Energetic, refined; pure citrus flavors.
Domaine La Soufrandière "Climat Les Quarts" Pouilly-Vinzelles '20
$156.00
92 Points Vinous: The 2020 Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat Les Quarts has an intense nose with fresh lime lemon zest and wetstone aromas. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity and a little spicy with a tang of marmalade towards the persistent finish. It has a sense of confidence about it and will surely repay bottle age.
Remoissenet Pere et Fils Bourgogne Blanc '20

A bit of fruit sourced from Chablis’ chalky hills, a touch of declassified fruit from villages-level vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet. Aromas of crisp pear, lemon zest and minerals. Fresh and lively, with a silky texture; flavors of lime zest, white fruit.

Château Parnay "Le Blason de Parnay" Saumur Blanc '21
$50.00
The Blason Blanc de Parnay is composed exclusively of Chenin Blanc. On the nose, the notes of exotic fruits are expressed with a lot of freshness; they play well with the limestone minerality which is characteristic of the terroir. On the palate, the attack is smooth and elegant, with a very expressive fruitiness that takes us on a journey to the orchards of the Loire. The acidity gives this wine a perfect balance and a lively and generous mouth.
Domaine Lauverjat "Moulin des Vrilleres" Sancerre '22
$75.00
The Lauverjat family has been growing grapes in Sancerre for generations in the tiny village of Sury-en-Vaux. Husband-and-wife team Christian and Karine have 30 acres of vines in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume. Their Sancerre is made from thirty-year-old vines grown in clay-limestone soils, fermented and aged in stainless steel with three months on the lees; medium-bodied, crisp and dry, it has aromas of gooseberries and herbs with great minerality and tangy citrus notes on the finish.
Domaine de la Raimbauderie Sancerre '22

Jean-Claude Dagueneau "Saint-Andelain" Pouilly-Fume '21
$62.00
93 Points Wine Enthusiast: From one of the group of Dagueneaus in the little village of Saint-Andelain, this wine is taut, textured and mineral. Deliciously refined with ripe lime and tangerine aromas and smoky notes from the Silex terroir. The distinguished acidity of flint balances with black currant, mango, and citron flavors like a tightrope walker on a rope. The ripe, complex character will be impressive as the wine matures.
Ladoucette Comte Lafond Sancerre '22
$93.00
Beautiful crystalline dress and pale gold in color, the olfactory expression opens immediately on a succession of shades that are constantly renewed. First citrus fruits (orange peel and lemon), then summer fruits (white peach and pear) finally honey notes on a subtle background of peppermint, an excellent complexity that translates richness and elegance. The lively and very frank attack precedes the acidulous roundness of the summer fruits expressed by the nose which are mingled with the refreshing flavors of exotic fruits (lychee, mango). Then, in delicate harmony, the fat and smells of fresh almond and pear are revealed. The finish, based on a stony minerality, is prolonged on notes of very ripe lemon.

$98.00
Winemaker Notes: Our beautiful Milady chardonnay shows notes of lemon blossom, fresh pear, dried mango and mineral character. It is built on brightness and energy, with lovely citrus, floral and savory accents. Full-bodied, precise texture with solid tension and a curated finish. Extremely polished and focused. The barrel aging on the lees brings a broad mouthfeel and adds length in the end; this combination makes for a wine that is compelling and hard to resist.
SAUVIGNON BLANC
Lioco "Lolonis Vineyard" Redwood Valley-Mendocino County '22
$99.00
Winemaker Notes: As the drought persists in Northern California, the octogenarians lording over the Lolonis Vineyard soldier on. Drought years always yield concentrated wines. Drought years from very old, dry-farmed vines take it to the next level. This is next level Sauvignon Blanc. We picked these miniaturized golden berries on the morning of September 9th, and whole cluster pressed them into stainless steel and one cigar-shaped barrel (thank you for the inspiration, Didier Dagueneau). The wine took a long, long time to ferment on its wild yeasts, but at last gave us a deeply mineral expression of soil with mere hints of white fruit and flowers. There may be no better accompaniment from our cellar with fresh oysters.

Cobb "Cole Ranch Vineyard" Riesling Cole Ranch-Mendocino County '19

93 Points Decanter: The Cole Ranch AVA is the smallest appellation in the US. This is Cobb's more flashy, exotic Riesling as opposed to the more nervy, focused Vonarburg. Aromas of starfruit, strawberries and kiwi. The palate is rich but tense with flavours of green apple, mango and crushed chalk on the finish. Evolves constantly in the glass and, as with the entire Cobb lineup, handles oxygen exposure admirably.

RED BURGUNDY
Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay '19
$160.00
92 Points Vinous: The 2019 Volnay Village comes from several parcels, 45% from Les Achats, 45% Les Aussy and 10% Les Petit Garnets, the latter due to be pulled up this year. It has an attractive bouquet with pure red cherry and wild strawberry aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit with a touch of bell pepper. I find this very stylish and full of tension, a very well crafted and delicious Volnay that comes highly recommended.
Domaine Etienne Delarche "Les Boutières" Pernand-Vergelesses Vieilles Vignes '19

Winemaker Etienne Delarche selects only older-vine fruit (70 years or older) for this over-performing villages Pinot Noir, which is bordered by premier cru vineyards. Deeper soils translates to plusher, more savory and expressive black fruits.
Domaine Michel Sarrazin Maranges ’19
$97.00
Typically, wines from Maranges and Santenay fall into the lighter end of the red Burgundy spectrum, but this 2019 displays the kind of depth and early-drinking charm that has been typical of the vintage. In the glass, it’s a deep ruby moving to pink and magenta at the rim, with a well-concentrated nose of black and red raspberries, red currant, cranberry, damp roses and violets, crushed stones, underbrush, and a hint of licorice. It’s juicy and rather plush, but with plenty of freshness lending backbone and lift.
Domaine Vincent Girardin "Terre d'Enfance" Santenay '20
$87.00
This Santenay is a well-built 2020 wine. Its bouquet is of strawberry where the old vintages are characterized by chestnut and dried plum. Vincent Girardin was born with a passion for wine. The history of Maison Vincent Girardin is relatively recent. In 1980, at the age of 19, Vincent Girardin, the son of a family of winegrowers based in Santenay since the 17th century, decided to strike out on his own, and began producing wine from two hectares of vines that he had inherited from his parents. From his earliest youth Vincent had a passion for working with vines, and great respect for the potential that they represent; his ambition was to produce his own wine.

Château Haut-Bailly II Grand Vin de Bordeaux Pessac-Léognan '19
$112.00
95 Points Wine Enthusiast: The second wine of Château Haut-Bailly shows a fine balance between firm tannins and generous, ripe and dense black fruits. With 60% Merlot in the blend, this rich wine has a plump character that means it will develop relatively quickly into a full-bodied wine.
Château Lassègue Saint-Émilion Grand Cru ’18

This wine, rich and structured, powered by solid tannins as well as serious black fruits and youthful juicy acidity, is going to take its time to mature.
Chateau Montrose "La Dame de Montrose" Saint-Estèphe '19

RED RHÔNE & OTHER REDS
Château Vannieres "Heritage Rouge" IGP Mont Caume (Bandol) '21
$56.00
Domaine Les Alexandrins Saint-Joseph '18
$105.00
91 Points Wine Enthusiast: This full-bodied Syrah juxtaposes powerful black-fruited ripeness with cutting cassis and sour cherry acidity. It's a concentrated, meaty expression of Saint-Joseph, with a finish that lingers on notes of iron and graphite. Soft tannins make it welcoming already but it's structured enough to drink at peak through 2026.
Domaine André Dezat & Fils Sancerre Rouge '20
$61.00
This cuvée from the highly regarded Dezat family is made from carefully selected grapes which, after fermentation, is aged for around 12 months in barrels, about 15% of which are new. On the nose it's got an almost floral character with sweet summer berries and cherries while the bright red fruit flavours are complemented by notes of bitter chocolate, earthy notes and subtle oak spice. With its medium body, gentle tannins and subtle acidity it's a quite inviting and appealing wine.
Domaine La Fourmone "Le Fauquet" Gigondas '20
$72.00
93 Points Jeb Dunnuck: Wild Strawberry, Asian spices, and Provencal garrigue notes define the 2020 Le Fauquet, a medium-bodied, seamless, incredibly pretty wine that has a light, elegant structure. Based on Grenache and Syrah, all aged in concrete, this classic, incredibly satisfying Gigondas will drink well for 10-12 years.

$55.00
91 Points Jeb Dunnuck: The 2021 Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret is rock solid, as always, offering a complex nose of juicy red berries, ground pepper, black licorice, and some sappy garrigue notes. This richly textured, medium-bodied, balanced beauty is well worth a multi-bottle purchase and is going to drink nicely for 5-7 years. 65% Grenache, 35% Syrah.
Famille Isabel Ferrando Châteauneuf-du-Pape '20
$240.00
98 Points Jeb Dunnuck: Now the flagship of this estate, the 2020 Chateauneuf-du-Pape is 75% Grenache and the rest Cinsault, Mourvedre, and a little Syrah. Sporting a deep ruby/purple hue, it offers a beautiful array of black raspberry and darker cherry fruit as well as lots of graphite, chalky minerality, Provencal garrigue, and spice. Beautiful on the palate as well, this medium to full-bodied effort has a layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel, rock-solid underlying structure and concentration, building tannins, and a gorgeous finish. The quality remains sky high at this estate, and it's impossible to go wrong with any of their new releases.
Famille Perrin "Les Sinards" Châteauneuf-du-Pape '21
$105.00
92 Points Wine Spectator: There’s a lot to like about this vintage, which leads off with warm fruitcake and red licorice notes, followed quickly by bramble-lined raspberry, blackberry and cherry compote flavors. Features a roasted apple wood frame that guides it all through the juicy finish.
Vignoble Edmond Latour Vacqueyras '19

Some may know this label by its former name, Domaine de l’Espigouette, different name, but the juice remains the same high quality, classic Vacqueyras. Blackberry, blueberry and cassis are surrounded by a dense and powerful mouthfeel that transitions in to surprisingly soft and polished tannins.
WEST COAST PINOT NOIR
Alma Fria "Doc's Ranch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast '17
$150.00
Alma Fria "Holtermann Vineyard" Sonoma Coast '21
$150.00
Alma Fria "Plural" Sonoma Coast '21
$93.00
Winemaker Notes: Red raspberry, black cherry, and tangerine pith flavors merge like tributaries forming a larger, more iconic river. Aromas are reminiscent of young Douglas fir needles that were harvested early and damp. The mouthfeel is seamless, persistent, and transparent. Tasting this wine quickly becomes a wonderful memory as it almost evaporates in the mouth.
Anthill Farms Sonoma Coast '21
$80.00
From the winemaker: “Dark ruby red color. Lifted and perfumed instantly as the wine hits the glass, with inviting aromas of red and black fruits, rose and carnation that turn spicier with air. We use the more approachable, open barrels from all our Sonoma vineyards to make up this wine. The 2021 vintage showed more structure than years past at all sites, with flavors that are pleasurable and succulent from the start. Loads of crunchy, energetic fruit coat the palate, remaining elegant and fresh, fanning out through the finish.”
Benton Lane Willamette Valley ‘21
$49.00
91 Points James Suckling: Wild strawberries, cherries, dried flowers and nutmeg on the nose. Some chocolate orange. Medium-bodied, tight and sleek, with fine tannins and a fresh finish.
Bergstrom "Cumberland Reserve" Willamette Valley '20
$115.00
92 Points Wine Enthusiast: This is an entry-level Pinot for the expansive Bergstrom lineup. It's a substantial effort that surely includes grapes from a number of first-class sites. It's packed with well-ripened fruit flavors of blackberry and black cherry. The tannins kick in and add a firm frame with baking spices and an inviting herbal component around the finish.
Cobb "Doc's Ranch Vineyard - Pommard Selection" Sonoma Coast '18
$156.00
98 Points Wine & Spirits: As a taster fascinated by connections with where a wine grows, I have developed a kind of obsession with certain pinot noirs that filter the climate and soils of Sonoma’s far coast through the Pommard clone. To me, Pommard-clone pinot, grown in the right spot, produces some of the most transparent-to-place wines in California. Ross Cobb farms several parcels of pinot noir in Occidental, including Coastlands, which he planted with his parents, marine biologists who settled on a hillside facing the Pacific in 1988. Doc’s Ranch is on the leeward side of that ridge, where Cobb first bottled two clonal blocks separately in 2018—Calera and Pommard. The site faces inland; the soil, once sediments on the ocean floor, now 1,000 feet above the Pacific. The vines responded to that marginal protection from the coast in 2018, preserving summer in their fruit. It might give you the high of walking through a grassy meadow, the rush of the scent of a rose as it opens to the sun, the cool of an evening in July when wild raspberries and cherries provide the most satisfying and simple dessert. What ties it back to the coast is the texture of the wine, an idealized take on the supple tannins of the stems and the skins of the grapes, a detailed pattern that pinot noir can achieve in close proximity to the Pacific.
Elk Cove Vineyards "Estate" Pinot Noir Willamette Valley '21
$69.00
VINTAGE 2021 was an outstanding year at Elk Cove. Cool weather during bloom and moderate temperatures during most of the growing season brought forth an ample harvest of intensely concentrated fruit. Our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is made with 100% estate grown fruit from all six of our vineyard sites: The Winery Estate, Mount Richmond, Five Mountain, Clay Court, Goodrich and Windhill. These sites are comprised of both Pommard and Dijon plant material, with multiple clones represented. Because we draw from vineyards representing all three of the major Willamette Valley soil types, we are able to pick and choose for different flavor components to make the best possible blend each year for our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Some people call this making wine “spice rack” style, we usually just call it delicious. Our goal is the perfect version of what we believe a Willamette Valley Pinot should be: a wine with freshness of fruit, well-integrated alcohol, and great concentration of flavor.
Emeritus Russian River Valley ’21
$72.00
92 Points Wine Enthusiast: Sourced from the producer's Hallberg Ranch and Pinot Hill vineyards, this Pinot Noir begins with a deep, rich nose of ripe boysenberries, cola bean, violets, and fresh mushrooms. The palate is bright, fresh, and concentrated, with complimenting flavors of medium intensity. It has mouth-quenching acidity and an elegant, long finish. This bottling drinks beautifully now but will put on even more weight and body over the next couple of years.
Father John Winery Mendocino Coast-Anderson Valley '18

Cain Cuvée Napa Valley NV17
$75.00
In the NV17, the Cain Vineyard dominates, contributing two-thirds of the total, split evenly between the two vintages, while Merlot grown on the valley floor provides a silky backdrop. Once again, the NV17 illustrates perfectly the way in which two vintages (2016 and 2017) blended together can compliment one another.
