CHAMPAGNE & SPARKLING
AR Lenoble "Intense" Brut Mag 18 NV
$90.00
Intense Mag 18 is composed of 15% Grand Cru Chardonnay, 40% Premier Cru Pinot Noir, 45% Pinot Meunier. Made with grapes from vineyards in Chouilly, Bisseuil, and Damery, Lenoble are one of a small—but increasing—number of producers who use a 'perpetual reserve'; a blend of wines of multiple vintages which is topped up every year, and then makes up a proportion of the final blend of each batch. The idea is that it brings continuity from batch to batch, and ensures that the house style remains consistent. For 'Mag 18' the base wines are all from the 2018 vintage, with the perpetual reserve, all of which is older wine, making up 45% of the final blend. Producer's tasting note: "This is an elegant Champagne with a dominance of Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs providing soft nutty flavour with fine bubbles and a fruity nose. It is fresh, light, lively and well balanced on the palate with a long satisfying flavour."
Besserat de Bellefon “Grande Tradition” Brut Epernay NV
$76.00
90 Points Wine Spectator: Plushly creamy on the palate, with flavors of ripe white raspberry, persimmon and blanched almond enlivened by a spine of lemony acidity. An overtone of minerally oyster shell and saline drives the finish. 45% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier.
Delamotte Brut Le Mesnil-sur-Oger NV
$120.00
The NV Brut is a gorgeous, deep wine endowed with an attractive core of rich fruit. This is an especially mid-weight, expansive Champagne with commendable balance and a long, finessed finish. Smoke, minerals and earthiness add complexity on the close. Delamotte is best known as the sister estate of its famous neighbor Salon, one of the most storied names in Champagne.
Drappier Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature Zero Dosage Reims NV
$135.00
Vermilion gold in colour. Nose of freshly pressed black grapes, of red, white and citrus fruits. Ample palate with flesh of vineyard peach and bouquet of aromatic herbs. Small spicy notes in the finish. A fine, tightly knit Champagne of great purity. The Drappier vineyard covers 100 hectares and constitutes the House’s essential trump card. Since 1808 our family has used its skill to select parcels of land which are particularly well exposed and extremely rich in limestone. For the most part they are located around Urville, where Pinot Noir, the predominant grape variety, finds its loveliest expression and allows the production of very elegant, aromatic wines. Champagne House Notes
Gérard Bertrand “Heritage An 825” Crémant de Limoux Brut Rosé ’20
$49.00
A trip to the South of France! A blend of chardonnay, chenin blanc and pinot noir, with the light pink salmon color of the rosé created by the pinot noir grapes, which are vinified first like a red wine, before a percentage is blended with the juice from the white grapes. Make sure to serve this wine well chilled. Then, savor it as a celebration of how exciting it is to discover sparkling wines from the South of France.
Lallier Blanc de Blancs Brut Aÿ NV
$160.00
Light yellow in color with emerald reflections, the nose has floral hints of hawthorn, acacia and dried flowers. The legendary purity and freshness of Chardonnay dominate, but the Aÿ terroir also brings a tender generosity and a delicate power. The finish is tense and mineral, a testimony to the chalky terroir. The length is dominated by fresh citrus notes of yuzu and lemon.
Lallier "Memoire Collection" Brut Grand Cru Aÿ '12
$230.00
Golden, intense and slightly amber, the 2012 is dominated by dries fruits, roasted almonds and gingerbread. Notes of ripe fruit testify to the beautiful maturity of the 2012 harvest. The attack is powerful, structured and dense. The richness of the 2012 wines gives this wine great depth.
Louis Roederer "Collection 242" Brut Reims NV
$108.00
94 Points James Suckling: Aromas of cooked apple, baked bread, and lemon tart follow through to a full body with round, delicious fruit and a rich, flavorful finish. Domaine La Soufrandière "Climat Les Quarts" Pouilly-Vinzelles '20
$156.00
92 Points Vinous: The 2020 Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat Les Quarts has an intense nose with fresh lime lemon zest and wetstone aromas. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity and a little spicy with a tang of marmalade towards the persistent finish. It has a sense of confidence about it and will surely repay bottle age.
Louis Jadot "Le Clos Blanc" Beaune Grèves 1er Cru '19
$164.00
94 Points Wine Enthusiast: Crisp, cutting notes of Asian pear, lemon and yellow plum introduce this full-bodied but fresh-fruited wine. While fleshy on the palate and accented by hints of smoked nut, dill and hazelnut biscotti, it's a pure-fruited, richly concentrated wine that should drink at peak through 2030.
Patrick Piuze “Terroir Découverte” Chablis ’20
$96.00
A supremely delicious bouquet wafting from the glass in a beautiful blend of pear, apple, oyster shell, chalky minerality, lemon blossoms and a top-note of beeswax. The palate is focused and crisp, with a pretty core, and a long, complex and classy finish. This comes from a single vineyard named “Des Couverts”, from the village lieu-dit Vaulorent, not the premier cru portion of this slope, on the north-facing side of the Grand Cru hill. The vineyard lies in a cool corridor and is typically the last wine to be harvested at the village level by Patrick and his team. The soil is composed of 100% Kimmeridgian limestone with a bit more clay than other parts of Chablis; the soil dates back to the 200-million-year old Jurassic period.
Patrick Piuze “Terroir de Fyé” Chablis ’21
$96.00
While most vintners make one blended cuvée from mixed sites for their villages wine, Patrick obsessively crafts no fewer than eight different villages-level wines, each giving a distinctive expression of terroir. Fyé comes from a 2.5 hectare parcel surrounding a little chateau that you can see from the top of the Grand Cru hill near the subclimate, Chapelot in 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre. This vineyard sits just opposite Blanchots. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel tanks. The 2021 Terroir de Fyé is characterized by floral aromatics and ripe pit fruit on the palate.
Remoissenet Père & Fils Puligny-Montrachet ’16
$195.00
93 Points James Suckling: Quite a concentrated and complex Puligny Montrachet with a lot of mineral drive and a long elegant finish. Still a bit closed with the aromas of lemon peel and honeysuckles as they are just beginning to show. Better from 2019
WHITE BORDEAUX
Château Picque Caillou Pessac-Léognan Bordeaux Blanc '19
$90.00
Oaked White Bordeaux is such an underappreciated style of wine as it offers up so much delicious complexity. Wine Enthusiast 92–94 Points: Barrel Sample. The wood aging is already showing in the spice of this crisply textured wine. Perfumed white fruits and lively acidity are lifted by the texture that gives minerality and juicy lime juice flavors.

Domaine Etienne Delarche "Les Boutières" Pernand-Vergelesses Vieilles Vignes '19

Winemaker Etienne Delarche selects only older-vine fruit (70 years or older) for this over-performing villages Pinot Noir, which is bordered by premier cru vineyards. Deeper soils translates to plusher, more savory and expressive black fruits.
Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard Savigny-les-Beaune ‘20
$76.00
One of Savigny’s oldest domaines, originally founded in 1529. Jean-Jacques has been producing wine here as the sole proprietor since 1998, and with significant recent investment in the cellar and winery he is producing outstanding wines. With his long experience of viticulture, Jean-Jacques firmly believes that the best wines are made in the vineyard and thus focuses his efforts on optimising the quality and health of the grapes themselves. This effort is reflected in his delightfully supple, elegant and classic wines, with his Savigny and Corton releases of particular note in 2020. Understandably one of our most popular wines year in, year out, this is yet another status-defying example of outstanding winemaking. Deep, concentrated plum and cherry fruits with floral hints and toasted spicy notes. This is complemented by a lovely, layered structure and is already showing a silkiness to its well-framed tannins. Surprisingly accessible now, it will give huge pleasure upon arrival and equally so when in mid-term drinking thereafter. Don’t miss out!
Domaine Jean-Noel Gagnard (Caroline Lestime) "Clos Bortier" Hautes-Côte de Beaune '19

$130.00
The 2018 Joseph Drouhin Côte de Beaune a lovely wine, offering up a juicy nose of red and black cherries, smoke, dark chocolate, a nice base of soil and a topnote of vinesmoke. Domaine Michel Sarrazin Maranges ’19
$97.00
Typically, wines from Maranges and Santenay fall into the lighter end of the red Burgundy spectrum, but this 2019 displays the kind of depth and early-drinking charm that has been typical of the vintage. In the glass, it’s a deep ruby moving to pink and magenta at the rim, with a well-concentrated nose of black and red raspberries, red currant, cranberry, damp roses and violets, crushed stones, underbrush, and a hint of licorice. It’s juicy and rather plush, but with plenty of freshness lending backbone and lift.
Domaine Vincent Girardin "Les Gravières" Santenay 1er Cru '17

Domaine Les Alexandrins Saint-Joseph '18

Elk Cove Vineyards "Estate" Pinot Noir Willamette Valley '21
$69.00
VINTAGE 2021 was an outstanding year at Elk Cove. Cool weather during bloom and moderate temperatures during most of the growing season brought forth an ample harvest of intensely concentrated fruit. Our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is made with 100% estate grown fruit from all six of our vineyard sites: The Winery Estate, Mount Richmond, Five Mountain, Clay Court, Goodrich and Windhill. These sites are comprised of both Pommard and Dijon plant material, with multiple clones represented. Because we draw from vineyards representing all three of the major Willamette Valley soil types, we are able to pick and choose for different flavor components to make the best possible blend each year for our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Some people call this making wine “spice rack” style, we usually just call it delicious. Our goal is the perfect version of what we believe a Willamette Valley Pinot should be: a wine with freshness of fruit, well-integrated alcohol, and great concentration of flavor.

This rocking wine has a huge nose of deep black fruits, new leather, unsmoked tobacco, exotic spices, and chocolate. Full-bodied and stunningly concentrated, with awesome tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and just a gorgeous finish, it's a magical wine and an incredible 2017. Bravo!
Fortress North Coast '18
$60.00
93 Points Wine Enthusiast: Showing excellent depth and impressive concentration, this full-bodied and well-balanced wine impresses with focused black-fruit flavors, a creamy texture and beautifully integrated tannins that afford a velvety mouthfeel.
Hall Napa Valley ’19
$125.00
93 Points Wine Spectator: This packs in some serious plum compote and cassis flavors, liberally wrapped in dark licorice and finishing with a swath of sweet toast and tobacco on the broad finish. Nice mineral underpinning keeps it honest. Fairly accessible despite its heft. Drink now through 2034.

Mark Ryan “The Dissident” Columbia Valley ’18
$86.00
92 Points Jeb Dunnuck - A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2018 The Dissident has crunchy black fruits as well as notes of chocolate, tobacco, and earthy goodness. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a slightly streamlined style, but it’s purity is beautiful.
Obsidian Ridge "Estate" Red Hills-Lake County '19
$67.00
93 Points Wine Enthusiast: Significantly tannic but also flavorful enough to pull it off, this full-bodied wine is a good candidate for further aging. It brims with black currant, graphite and black cherry flavors that are vivid but not overblown, achieving good balance and complexity. Aged for 18 months in 40% new Hungarian oak barrels.
Opus One "Prorietary Red" Napa Valley ’15
$550.00
98 Points James Suckling: Purity and brilliance on the nose with so much currant and flower character. Roses, currant bush and fresh leaves, too. Brightness is the word that comes to mind. Full-bodied and broad-shouldered. Juicy and so gorgeous now. Balance is so wonderful here. All about harmonious fruit and tannin balance. I like it slightly better than the excellent 2014. 81% cabernet sauvignon, 4% petit verdot, 7% cabernet franc, 6% merlot and 2% malbec. Drink or hold.
Opus One "Proprietary Red" Napa Valley '18
$550.00
99 Points James Suckling: Extremely perfumed and floral with lavender, lilacs and violets to the sweet, ripe berries, such as blackberries and blackcurrants. Some slate and graphite, too. It’s full-bodied, yet ever so balanced and refined, with super fine tannins that last for minutes. Fresh herbs, such as bay leaf and lemon grass highlight the dark fruit. The quality of tannin is exquisite with wonderful polish and refinement. Lasts for minutes.
O’Shaughnessy Howell Mountain ’18
$215.00
93 Points James Suckling: Blue flowers and fruit on the nose, as well as licorice, tea leaf and dark chocolate. It's medium-bodied with firm, tight tannins and fresh acidity. A distinct saline streak cuts through the dark fruit.
O'Shaughnessy Napa Valley '18
$177.00
97 Points Wine Enthusiast: This is such an outstanding wine at any price, but here we're talking about outstanding value as well. Notes of iron and crushed rock lead to a lengthy balance of juicy red fruit and clove. With small amounts of Merlot, Malbec, Saint-Macaire and Cabernet Franc, it shows a deft hand at blending, with lasting notes of black pepper and nuanced oak. Editors’ Choice.
Peju Napa Valley '19
$88.00
One of the best values in Napa Cabernet. 95 Points Tasting Panel: Aged in French and American oak, this dynamic blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec offers up scents of huckleberry, dried herbs, and vanilla. An incredibly silky entry of ripe blueberry preserves captivates with a luxurious mouthfeel. The textural sensations continue with melting dark chocolate, graphite, and a coat of anise.
Pied à Terre Sonoma County '17
$75.00
Richard Luftig started Pied à Terre with winemaker Clay Mauritson to create great wine that doesn't cost $100 a bottle. Richard feels that "the farmer's footprint is the best fertilizer and the most important sight in a vineyard". Hence the name Pied à Terre, which means "foot to earth". Clay and he believe that the best wines are made in the vineyard, and that minimal intervention in the winery is key to producing a delicious wine. Pied à Terre is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a number of different vineyards and regions in Sonoma County. The wine was aged exclusively in French oak, 20% of which was new. The wine is intensely aromatic with vibrant red fruits and a touch of smoke and rocks. There is great intensity and freshness to the wine, with subtle tannins and a refreshing acidity.
Y. Rousseau "Le Roi Soleil" Mount Veeder '18
$295.00
91 Points Wine Enthusiast: This wine sizzles in subtle earthiness and dried herbs, marked by a tight, youthful tannin structure that grips and expands on the palate, with just a touch of reduction nipping at its heels. Muscular, lengthy and rich in red berry and baking spice, it shows off the savory aspects of the mountain appellation.

Jonata “Todos” Syrah Blend Santa Ynez Valley ’17
$99.00
94 Points Jeb Dunnuck: Todos possesses the most exotic, complex and compelling aromatics of the lineup. Highlighted by black truffle, jasmine, five spice, black pepper and clove. Driven by blueberry, Mission fig and aged balsamic. Hints of dried tobacco, mint and baking chocolate combine with a tidal wave of velveteen black fruit on the palate. A wine of extreme power, but also delicate and proportional balance. 44% Syrah, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petite Sirah, 10% Petite Verdot, 8% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc.

Smith Story Cabernet Franc Sonoma Valley ’17
$92.00
93 Points Antonio Galloni: The 2017 Cabernet Franc is an absolutely joyous bottle of wine. A burst of sweet red cherry, blood orange, spice, mint and espresso makes a strong opening statement. Bold, juicy and wonderfully inviting, with a classic sense of structure, the Franc is an absolute winner in this range
